JC United Opens Fall 2026-27 Travel Teams & Tryouts — Where Student-Athletes Are Built, Not Just Recruited
JC United, the Downtown Jersey City travel soccer club powered by Superbase, opens 2026-27 Fall Season tryouts across six teams — Boys U13, U12, U11, U10 and U8, plus the brand-new Girls U8 — with a holistic Student-Athlete Development program that pairs elite coaching with academics, nutrition and character.
JERSEY CITY, NJ — August 4, 2026 — JC United Soccer Club today announced open tryouts for its 2026-27 Fall Season travel teams, inviting boys and girls across Jersey City and the surrounding area to compete for a spot on one of six rosters — Boys U13, U12, U11 and U10, Boys U8, and the club's brand-new Girls U8 team.
Based at Superbase (157 1st St, Downtown Jersey City), JC United is more than a soccer club. It is a holistic Student-Athlete Development program built on a simple belief: the best players are also the best students, teammates and people.
More Than a Game
Where many travel clubs recruit talent, JC United develops the whole athlete. Every player is coached across four pillars:
- ⚽ Elite On-Field Development — three professional-level practices per week, 20 games per season, and a season-ending tournament, with kit fees included.
- 📚 Academics First — players are student-athletes first. The club's home base doubles as an enrichment and after-school hub, so training and homework live under one roof.
- 🥗 Nutrition & Wellness — access to the Superbase Café and in-house nutrition guidance helps young athletes learn how to fuel training, recovery and focus.
- 🏆 Character & Community — leadership, sportsmanship and teamwork are coached as deliberately as the first touch.
"We're not just building a soccer team — we're building young people," said the JC United coaching staff. "When a kid leaves practice, we want them stronger on the ball, sharper in the classroom, and better as a teammate. That's the JC United standard."
2026-27 Fall Teams
Tryouts are open for the following travel teams:
- Boys U13 — Mon · Wed · Fri practices
- Boys U12 — Mon · Wed · Fri practices
- Boys U11 — Mon · Wed · Fri practices
- Boys U10 — Mon · Wed · Fri practices
- Boys U8
- Girls U8 — new for 2026-27
The launch of the Girls U8 team marks the beginning of JC United's girls travel program — a foundation the club plans to grow year over year.
Season Details
The full season runs September through June (10 months) at $300/month, including three weekly practices, a 20-game schedule, one tournament, and uniform kit fees. Rosters are kept intentionally small — 10-15 players per team — so every athlete gets real development, real minutes and real attention.
Tryout Information
The next open tryout takes place Friday, August 7th, from 5:00-8:00 PM at Superbase, 157 1st St, Jersey City. Spots are limited and awarded on a rolling basis.
