Academics First. Character Always.

We are an Academy, not a club. That means:

Every athlete is also a student, with weekly check-ins on homework, grades, and school conduct

Mandatory tutoring sessions are built into each week, either before or after training

We partner with schools and parents to ensure each child is:

  • Completing assignments

  • Staying focused in class

  • Contributing positively to their school community

Younger boys & girls (ages 3–7) may enter the Feeder Program for foundational training, but will not compete in travel leagues in Year 1

No Player Competes Without Academic Accountability.
Athletes who fall behind academically or have behavior issues at school will pause participation until they realign with Academy standards.

Student-Athlete Model

Each child will set quarterly scholastic goals (GPA, reading, behavior)

Tutoring will be provided in core subjects: Math, Reading, Writing, and Study Skills

Students will use Timebug to track academic progress and reflections

Communication logs will document interactions with:

  • Parents and guardians

  • Homeroom and subject teachers

  • School administrators (when applicable)

Academic Goals & Tutoring Support

We believe in a 360° support model for every child:

Parents will receive monthly updates on athletic and academic progress

Coaches, mentors, and academic staff will stay in contact with school personnel

Home life and school experiences will be respected and integrated into the child's individual development plan

This communication triangle—Academy ⇄ School ⇄ Family—is the foundation of long-term success

Parent & School Partnership

Weekly game film reviews to identify strengths, mistakes, and learning opportunities

Tactical breakdowns using both academy footage and elite role models

Video archives will be made accessible for players and parents

Video Analysis & Learning by Watching

Supportive meal plans and smoothies via Blend FC

Fitness tracking (agility, stamina, strength) tied into Timebug

Education on recovery, hydration, and balance

Nutrition & Body Care (Optional Add-ons)

Our Soccer Program isn’t just about wins and goals. It’s about:

Discipline, on and off the field

Brotherhood - Sisterhood (Fraternity), in every challenge

Integrity, in every decision

Effort, every single day

Those who walk this path emerge stronger—not only as players, but as leaders in their families, schools, and communities.

We are integrating the 7 Core Principles from Basement Sports into the Academy's framework to enrich our holistic approach to youth development. Here's how we can weave these principles into our communications and program structure.

At Super Base Academy, our mission is to cultivate well-rounded individuals by emphasizing both athletic prowess and life skills. The 7 Core Principles from Basement Sports align seamlessly with our ethos and will be embedded throughout our curriculum:

Vigorous Play: Encouraging at least 60 minutes of daily physical activity to promote health and happiness.

Real Facetime: Fostering in-person interactions to build meaningful relationships and social skills.

Fair Play: Instilling honesty and integrity by teaching students to resolve disputes amicably and respect all participants.

Keeping Score: Utilizing scorekeeping to develop practical math skills and goal-setting habits.

Creativity: Encouraging creative expression through activities like designing team uniforms and fields.

No Pressure: Creating a supportive environment where students can enjoy activities without undue stress or judgment.

Have Fun: Ensuring that enjoyment remains at the heart of all activities, reinforcing the joy of learning and playing.

Foundational Framework: Integrating the 7 Core Principles

To effectively incorporate these principles:

Physical Education: Daily sessions will emphasize vigorous play, fair competition, and enjoyment.

Academic Programs: Math and science lessons will include practical applications like scorekeeping and statistics.

Arts and Creativity: Projects will encourage students to design and innovate, fostering creativity.

Social Skills Workshops: Activities will focus on building interpersonal skills through real facetime and collaborative tasks.

Wellness Programs: Sessions will address stress management and the importance of maintaining a pressure-free mindset.
